Trying the Harp
Interested in taking harp lessons, but never touched a harp?? No problem. You don't need to have a harp to take a trial lesson, I have harps that you can take a lesson on to see if you like it.
Starting Lessons
Beginning harp lessons can seem daunting since the harp is not a very common instrument. However, starting harp lessons is just the same as any other instrument! I will guide you through each step, finding a harp, getting the right books, and taking your first lesson.

The tuition rate for harp lessons is the same as tuition for piano lessons. Instruction is done in your own home, but can also be arranged to be at my home in Denton.
Acquiring a Harp
Most first time harp players prefer to rent a harp before purchasing. This give you the option to try out lessons before committing to purchasing a harp.

There are many options for renting a harp in DFW and I can help you find the best option for you. Usually, it's best to find a harp locally to rent. Once you've decided you'd like to own your own harp, there are options to rent-to-own a harp through companies such as Lyon and Healy Harps.
My Harp Experience
​I started playing the harp at age 9 and have played ever since! After completing a Bachelor of Music degree in harp performance, I've played with multiple different orchestras in Kansas, Missouri, Colorado, and Texas. In the summers, I'm a faculty member at the Elyrica Summer Harp Program in Connecticut.
