About
Growing up in Connecticut, Alexandra studied piano and harp, beginning at age 9. As a harpist Alexandra has played at the American Harp Society National Conference (2016) and the Young Artists’ Harp Seminar. She has performed with the Missouri Philharmonic Orchestra, the Kansas City Civic Orchestra, the University of Missouri Orchestra, and the Washburn University Orchestra. This summer will be her third year as a faculty member for the Elyrica Harp Seminar in Connecticut.
For 3 years Alexandra served as a music faculty member at Drury University in Springfield, Missouri where she conducted the orchestra and taught other music courses. For the 2022-2023 season, she served as music Director of the Ozark Festival Orchestra in Monett, Missouri. Previous positions include Graduate Assistant Conductor of the Missouri State University Symphony and 2019 Conducting Fellow for the Allentown Symphony Orchestra in Pennsylvania. In March 2023, Alexandra guest conducted the March 2023 concert for the Kansas City Civic Orchestra in Overland Park, Kansas. In fall 2023, she made her debut with the University of North Texas Symphony Orchestra. Most recently, Alexandra directed two performances of the Nutcracker Ballet with the Allen Philharmonic and Allen Civic Ballet in Allen, Texas.
Alexandra holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Washburn University and a Master of Music degree from Missouri State University. She has also done doctoral coursework at the University of North Texas.
